Reporting a problem
Include the app version, shown in Settings under Advanced, About. If something went wrong during a workout, say what you tapped and what happened instead. Do not send your backup file unless it is asked for: it contains your whole training history.
Getting your data out
Settings, Backup data writes a complete file containing everything you have recorded, and Restore backup reads it back. Use it before changing phone. The file is yours; once you share it somewhere it is subject to whatever service you sent it to.
Deleting your data
Training history lives only on your device. Settings, Advanced, Reset Data erases it, and so does uninstalling the app. Nothing is held on a server for us to delete, because there is no account.
If you switched on usage analytics, those events sit with our analytics processor. While the setting is on, Settings shows the anonymous identifier they are stored under; write to [email protected] with that identifier and the events will be deleted, with nothing retained afterwards. Crash reports can be deleted the same way, and expire on their own within about ninety days regardless.
If you completed Mazao with the one-time purchase, the purchase record follows the store account you used, and the receipt is held by our payment processor under an anonymous identifier; a deletion request through the same address covers it. Deleting it does not revoke the unlock you paid for — the store remains the proof of purchase.
What Mazao does not do
There is no account, no cloud sync between devices, and no way for us to see or recover your training history. If you lose the phone without a backup file, the data is gone. That is the trade for keeping it off anyone else's servers, and it is worth knowing before you rely on it.
The privacy policy lists everything that leaves the device.
